Talamus systems

We offer Talamus systems at laboratory, pilot and production scale. Process control runs on the same software architecture; equipment design is specific to each scale.

Scale range

Silhouettes are for scale comparison; actual dimensions and H/D ratio are defined per project.

View the system

In pilot systems designed for sterile operation, the sterilisation in place (SIP), cooling and cultivation phases run automatically. We deliver the systems skid-mounted with industrial-grade instrumentation.

  • TLM12020 L seed reactor + 100 L pilot reactor
  • TLM500500 L working volume (600 L total)
  • Laboratory systems

    Benchtop, laboratory scale

Compact, autoclavable benchtop bioreactors for cultivation studies and process development, and BioSIS-controlled airlift photobioreactors for microalgae studies.

    • TLM Lab, Laboratory scale; vessel volume and number of parallel reactors per configuration
    • BioSIS Airlift, Laboratory-scale photobioreactor; 1.8 L (internally illuminated airlift) and 6 L (flat panel) working volume in published studies
    Models and technical data
  • Pilot-scale systems

    100 L and 500 L, skid-mounted

In pilot systems designed for sterile operation, the sterilisation in place (SIP), cooling and cultivation phases run automatically. We deliver the systems skid-mounted with industrial-grade instrumentation.

    • TLM120, 20 L seed reactor + 100 L pilot reactor
    • TLM500, 500 L working volume (600 L total)
    Models and technical data
  • Industrial systems

    1,000–30,000 L, engineered per project

Bioreactor and fermenter lines engineered for the production target and facility conditions. We define battery limits item by item in the quotation.

    • TLM Industrial, 1,000 L – 30,000 L working volume
    Models and technical data

TLM model comparison

The table compares the TLM models by scale, working volume, sterilisation method, delivery and control structure. We define pressure and temperature ratings and instrumentation scope in the project documentation.

Technical consultation request

Information on the application, target scale and site conditions is sufficient for an initial assessment. In the first meeting we set out a framework for scale, configuration and site requirements.
